Mohamed Jaafar

I build financial infrastructure for people who got left out.

Currently: MSc Financial Technology in London, building Fifi Terminal — a Bloomberg for emerging markets.

I grew up watching people I knew get excluded from financial systems — no credit history, no access, no visibility. I started trading forex at 18, got wrecked, learned, and eventually found my way to building the tools I wished existed.

I've shipped payments rails at Fingo Africa, designed microservices for digital banks, and built everything from card systems to AI support bots. Now I'm focused on ethical finance — Shariah-compliant, transparent, accessible.

I write to think. Mostly about systems, identity, and what it means to build.
